Retirement relocation to Spain

“Relocation service” means very different things depending on who is selling it. Here is exactly what ours covers for someone retiring here, what it costs, who does each part, and where the boundaries are.

§ 01What we actually do

Retirement relocation to Spain, step by step§

Coordinated by one person who knows your case, not a ticket queue. The two things we put first — tax and your will — are the two that almost nobody else does first.

  1. 01

    Feasibility

Route, healthcare entitlement, tax exposure, and an honest view on whether and when to do it.

    SpainEase 48 hours
  2. 02

    Tax and estate plan

Modelled before you sell anything. Includes lump sums and the timing of your house sale.

    Partner 1–2 weeks
  3. 03

    Documents

An exact list, sequenced so nothing expires before your appointment.

    You 2–4 weeks
  4. 04

    Appointment

Consulate or extranjería. We watch daily, book the first workable slot, and rehearse it with you.

    Administration when it opens
  5. 05

    Home

Search, viewings, negotiation, lawyer, survey, notary, taxes, keys, utilities.

    SpainEase 4–10 weeks
  6. 06

    The first year

Padrón, bank, healthcare, driving licence, Spanish will, first tax return.

    SpainEase ongoing
  • You Only you can do it — we tell you exactly what and when.
  • SpainEase We do it, and you can see it happening.
  • Partner A named, qualified professional: lawyer, tax adviser, agent.
  • Administration A Spanish authority decides. Nobody can promise this one.

Straight answer

If you are an EU pensioner already here, with an address, comfortable in Spanish and in no hurry, you can do much of the Residency package yourself. We will tell you that on the call. We would rather run a small honest business than a large one built on people who did not need us.

§ 04

Retirement relocation to Spain: common questions§

Do we pay before or after?

A deposit to start, the balance at agreed milestones. Third-party costs are paid at cost with the receipt. If the feasibility review concludes that you should not proceed, we refund it.

What if the visa is refused?

We tell you honestly at the feasibility stage if we think a file is weak, and we would rather lose the work than take a case that will fail. If a refusal happens anyway, our fee covers the work done and the lawyer advises on appeal or on a second application. Nobody can guarantee an outcome, and any company that does is not being straight with you.

Do you work outside the Costa Blanca?

Yes for everything on paper — visas, residency, tax, wills — wherever in Spain you settle. What we cannot do everywhere is turn up in person, so for property and in-person appointments we are strongest between Dénia and Altea.

We are already here and it has gone wrong. Can you help?

Often, and it is a common call. Half-finished paperwork, insurance that turned out not to qualify, no Spanish will, a first tax return nobody filed. Tell us where you got to, including the mistakes.

Do you take commission from insurers or estate agents?

No. We are paid by you, which is the only way we can tell you not to buy a house or not to take a policy. If that ever changes for a specific recommendation, you will be told before you act on it.
